Components with hard or sharp edges are tough on board. A nut, a bracket or the corner of a casting presses into a thin wall at the very first knock. A 4 mm single wall in C quality puts noticeably more material between the contents and the outside world, and the internal size of 270 x 190 x 120 mm makes for a practical in-between format. Frequently asked questions

Can a sharp component push through the board?

With 4 mm board that happens far less readily than with 3 mm, but a point is still a point. Wrap sharp parts and secure them so that they cannot move against the wall.

Is C-flute always better than B-flute?

Not always. C-flute is thicker and springier, but it also takes up slightly more internal space. For light contents the 3 mm B-flute is often the thriftier choice, and for heavy loads you are better served by double wall shipping boxes.

How quickly do these boxes go up?

This is a regular slotted carton. Fold the short bottom flaps first, then the long ones, and tape the seam. With a dispenser you can keep up a brisk pace on the packing line.
