Single wall box 1000x500x500 mm

One metre long: single wall box 1000 x 500 x 500 mm for oversized goods

A metre long, half a metre wide and half a metre high: the 1000 x 500 x 500 mm box holds 250 litres in one piece of packaging. It is the format for furniture parts, plastic housings, rolled goods, displays and consolidated shipments that cannot be split. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for cardboard boxes and we keep these outer dimensions in stock as well.

The ceiling of single wall board

The grade is single wall C-flute at 4 mm. On a box of this size that is the upper limit of what a single wall construction can sensibly carry: plenty of strength for bulky, light contents, but not intended for dense loads.

Transport and pallet footprint

The volumetric weight takes this box outside regular parcel transport, so it travels as freight or on a pallet. At exactly one metre long it still stays within the dimensions of a euro pallet, which keeps a load easy to stack and secure.

Frequently asked questions

Can I send this box as a parcel?

Usually not. Both the one metre length and the high volumetric weight sit beyond the limits of the common parcel networks, so the shipment is handled as freight.

Why are there only ten boxes in a pack?

Because a bundle of this format would otherwise be too heavy and too awkward. Ten flat blanks remain easy to move with two people and simple to store.

How do I keep the box in shape when it is full?

Fill it up to the flaps so the contents support the walls and seal the base in an H pattern with tape. For dense loads, move to double wall shipping boxes.
