Two hundred litres of loading space in board just 3 mm thick: the 800 x 500 x 500 mm box is deliberately made for light, bulky goods. Insulation material, foam parts, cushions, textiles, lampshades, empty bottles and loose fill all go in by the armful. A full box keeps its shape

The 3 mm B-flute keeps the packed weight down and the price per box attractive. Fill the box right up to the flaps so the contents help support the walls. A half-filled box of this size gives way under the first stacking load.

Volumetric weight rules out parcel transport

The capacity puts the volumetric weight well above what a parcel carrier accepts per item, so in practice this format travels as freight or on a pallet. Allow for that in your shipping calculation before you order larger quantities.

How heavy can the contents be?

With 3 mm board at this size, stay with light, evenly spread goods and a full fill. Once the load becomes compact and dense, a thicker grade is the right answer.

Why does this size also come in 3 mm?

Because most users here need volume rather than payload. A lighter, more economical board is then the logical choice, while dense goods belong in double wall shipping boxes.

What is the best way to close it?

Seal the base and the lid in an H pattern with strong tape. That keeps the large footprint flat and stops the flaps from lifting when the box is full.
