Long single wall box 800 x 200 x 200 mm - narrow format in 3 mm B-flute

Eighty centimetres long and only 20 by 20 cm at the end: 800 x 200 x 200 mm is the box for goods that are mostly length. Think of tubes, profiles, rods, cable trunking, rolls of film, posters on a roll and curtain poles. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for single wall cartons, and many customers keep this narrow model in stock as standard. Further formats sit with the cardboard boxes.

The version is 3 mm with a B-flute. For long, light goods that is the logical choice: the board is light, economical and smooth enough to label cleanly. If you need more cushioning, the same shape is available in 4 mm.

Length, surcharge and rate

At 800 mm this box stays below the metre that many carriers treat as the threshold for a length surcharge. Its low own weight barely matters, because the rate follows the outer dimensions. Anyone shipping long goods regularly is far better off with this narrow cross-section than with a wide box.

Packing tips for a narrow model

A long box lives or dies by its filling. Push the contents firmly against the end so nothing can slide lengthwise, and close the seam with a strong tape. For heavier rods, lay a strip of board in the base as an extra bearing surface.

Is 3 mm strong enough over 800 mm?

For light, elongated goods it is, not least because the small footprint keeps the walls close together. For solid rods or metalwork, choose a thicker quality.

How many packs go on a pallet?

Forty-five packs. Because the boxes are supplied flat, a full pallet stands compactly in your warehouse until you set them up.

Can these boxes be stacked lengthwise?

Lying down and squarely on top of each other works well. Do not let them overhang the pallet, because on a long model an unsupported end is the first thing to take damage.
