This size exists for volume. 600 x 400 x 300 mm gives you roughly 72 litres on a footprint that matches the euro norm, built in 3 mm B-flute. That makes it the economical option for consignments which take up a lot of room without putting much on the scales: insulation material, plastic components, textiles, empty packaging, foam parts or promotional items. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for folding and shipping boxes in single wall board.
At this capacity the weighed load rarely sets the freight price. Length, width and height together produce a figure that sits well above the actual weight once the contents are light, and that figure decides the rate band your carrier applies. Choose the size to match the goods rather than the other way round. A height of 300 mm still leaves both sides easy to grip with two hands, even when the box is filled to the brim.
At 3 mm the board is tuned to light contents. Once the load turns dense, or the boxes have to be stacked several layers high, a double wall version is the safer choice. For consistently light goods single wall stays the more economical material, and the tiered pricing brings the price per box down as the quantity goes up.

Light to moderately heavy contents. The size was chosen for volume, not for load bearing. Put dense material in a box this large and the base will sag in time.
Multiply length, width and height in centimetres and divide the result by the divisor your carrier uses. Whichever of the two figures is higher sets the rate.
Yes. They arrive flat and lie level on top of one another until you set them up. Only then do they really need shelf room.
