Shipping box 430 x 310 x 300 mm - a tall model for fragile and bulky goods

Forty litres of capacity in a box that hardly adds any weight of its own. That makes 430 x 310 x 300 mm suitable for two quite different jobs: bulky light goods, and breakable products that need a thick layer of cushioning all round. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for corrugated cardboard boxes, and our cardboard boxes range carries exactly the heights where those two jobs meet.

With delicate contents you pack from the outside in. A bed of cushioning on the base, the product in the middle, the remaining space filled until nothing moves any more. Because this size has clearance on every side, you can fill generously without the flaps bulging. The single wall of 3 mm keeps the shipping weight down while you do it.

How do I stop a tall box tipping over on the conveyor?

Keep the centre of gravity low. Put the heaviest parts at the bottom and fill out the top so the box does not become top-heavy and the flaps close flat.

Is this format suitable for glassware?

Yes, provided every piece is wrapped individually and stays clear of the wall and of the other pieces. The protection comes from the filling, the board only holds that filling in place.

What is the best way to close this box?

Tape the seam and, on a full box, add an extra strip across the short sides. Our tape range includes rolls that also bond well to recycled board.
