Flat shipping box 394 x 294 x 88 mm with a large base area

A base of 394 x 294 x 88 mm takes an A4 sheet of 297 x 210 mm lying flat with a margin all round, and the shallow height keeps the whole consignment low. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for single wall shipping cartons, and we deliberately keep these low models among our folding boxes, because they are where the real saving on volume sits.

This version is single wall 3 mm in B quality, the standard for light to medium weight consignments. One fluted layer between two flat liners is strong enough for paper, textiles and small goods, and considerably thinner than double wall board. On a flat model that thin wall works in your favour, because the outside dimension stays close to the inside dimension.

Frequently asked questions

Will a ring binder or an A4 folder lie flat in this box?

A common A4 ring binder of around 320 x 285 mm lies flat on the base. With 88 mm of height you can stack two or three of them, depending on the spine width.

Is this a letterbox size?

No. The usual letterbox height is around 32 mm, and our postal boxes are made for that. This model is a parcel, but one that takes up very little volume.

Does the base sag on a flat box?

With a large base area that is the point to watch. Spread the contents across the whole surface instead of in one spot and the 3 mm B-flute keeps the base straight. A cut liner sheet underneath spreads the load further.
