This format of 350 x 300 x 250 mm offers a good 26 litres. Keep an eye on volumetric weight at this size. Many carriers charge large, light parcels on a calculated weight rather than on the actual weight. A box that fits the goods closely is therefore nearly always cheaper than a roomier box filled out with void fill.

Carriers multiply length, width and height, divide the result by a fixed factor and compare that figure with the real weight. At a good 26 litres the calculated figure can come out higher, so check your own rate tiers before you put this size into heavy use.

Is this format suitable for heavier contents as well?

At moderate weights, yes. Above that, or when the boxes have to stand on top of each other, double wall shipping boxes are the better option, because they take more stacking pressure at the same size.

What board are the boxes made from?

Brown corrugated board with a high share of recycled fibre, unprinted and without any coating. After use the box can be folded flat and put out with the waste paper.
