Single wall box 320 x 250 x 180 mm - a wide base for parts and tools

Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for single wall boxes, and this is a size ordered mainly by the technical trade. The ratio of 320 x 250 x 180 mm gives a wide base with limited height, so individual parts sit next to each other in one layer and can be checked at a glance when the parcel is opened. Within our cardboard boxes this is the shape that fitters and service companies ask for most often.

A 3 mm single wall is usually enough for this kind of load, as long as you cover sharp parts. Do not lay metal goods loose against the wall and use an interlayer of protective and filling materials. That stops a point working its way through the board from the inside.

Frequently asked questions

Why does a pack hold 25 boxes rather than 20?

Pack size follows from the folded dimension of the board and from how the bundle sits on the pallet. At this format that works out at 25 pieces, which is favourable in terms of the price per box.

Can I ship heavier metal goods in this box?

Up to a few kilos that works well, provided you fill the voids so nothing can move. For genuinely heavy or pointed material, double wall or the 4 mm single wall version is the safer option.

What is the quickest way to close this box?

Fold the short flaps first, then the long ones, and run one strip across the seam. With a wide base a tape dispenser is noticeably faster than tearing strips off by hand, and a second strip along the long edges helps under a heavier load.
