Single wall box 320 x 220 x 290 mm - the tall model for upright contents

Some products belong upright. A box that is taller than it is wide holds that position, so the load cannot tip over while the parcel is being sorted. This model measures 320 x 220 x 290 mm, combining the familiar A4 footprint with generous height. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for single wall cardboard cartons, and among our cardboard boxes we deliberately stock these less obvious proportions, because they often save on cushioning.

The board is a 3 mm single wall in B-flute. The extra height lets you lay a layer of protection both under and over the goods. For genuinely heavy items you are better off with double wall shipping boxes, but for fragile products of limited weight this version is the more economical choice.

Will a tall 3 mm box keep its shape?

It will, provided you fill it properly and nothing inside can shift. The stiffness of corrugated board comes from the corners. A filled carton that is supported on every side stays straight at this size without any trouble.

How much cushioning does this size take?

For fragile goods allow a layer of three to five centimetres all round. The height of 290 mm lets you put a protective bed at the bottom and a cover on top without the lid standing proud.

Do the boxes arrive assembled or flat?

Flat, which saves a great deal of storage space. At the packing bench you fold each one up in a matter of seconds.
