On a pick-and-pack line, the cost rarely comes down to the price per box. What counts is the number of parcels per order. If a complete order fits inside 305 x 220 x 250 mm, you pay freight once and print a single label. That is exactly what this height is for. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for cardboard boxes, and we see this format most often at companies that want to consolidate their order lines.
The footprint matches the shallower version of this format, but 250 mm of height gives you a full additional layer. Three flat items plus cushioning, or two stacked supplier cartons, go in without pressure. Because the footprint stays the same, you can run both heights in the same pallet pattern and on the same shelf in the packing line.
The board is a single wall of 3 mm in B quality. That build absorbs knocks during sorting and keeps the box square with normal contents. Always fill a taller box right up to the flaps so the lid cannot sag when another parcel ends up on top. For single flat consignments, postal boxes remain the cheaper option.

Allow for a layer of two to three centimetres around the contents and on top. If considerably more void remains, a shallower box is a better choice than filling the whole cavity.
They are internal dimensions. The external size comes out slightly larger because of the 3 mm wall thickness per side, which matters when the box has to fit exactly into a crate or a shelf.
Yes. The footprint matches the other heights in this range, so layers and heights can be combined freely.
