Sometimes volume is the only thing that counts. Textiles, plastic parts, empty bottles or cushioning take up room without weighing much. For consignments like that, this box of 300 x 200 x 200 mm in a single wall of 3 mm is the most economical choice. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for single wall cardboard boxes and we see this size mostly at firms that despatch many parcels a day from our range of folding boxes.
Note the difference with the 4 mm version in a comparable format. That one has a taller flute and more spring, but it also takes a little more room on the shelf. With light contents the extra thickness gains you nothing, and then the 3 mm B flute is the sensible option. Once the contents get genuinely heavy, the double wall shipping boxes are worth a look.
Bulky light contents: textiles, foam inserts, plastic housings and packaging material.
High parcel counts: the standard quality for daily despatch, day in day out.
Stock boxes: closed boxes holding light items on a shelf.
Twelve litres of internal room on a slim wall thickness is the recipe here. You pack bulky goods in one go, without paying for board that adds nothing to light contents.

As soon as the contents are heavy for their size, have hard edges or the box ends up at the bottom of a stack. For light and bulky consignments, 4 mm mainly adds material.
Only if it is properly filled. Leave air inside and the lid will sink under pressure from above, so close off any remaining cavities with clean cushioning or paper.
Yes, they arrive flat as blanks. You set them up when the order is due, saving shelf space.
