Closing and taping

In a long box the pressure builds mainly in the middle of the top flap. Run the tape past the edges on both sides, and for heavier contents tape the base in an H pattern as well. Our range of tape includes rolls of 48 and 50 mm that suit this box well.

Frequently asked questions

Does a long box not sag in the middle?

At 250 mm in length that is not an issue in 3 mm single wall board for light to medium-weight contents. Just make sure the contents fill the full length, so no hollow section is left in the middle.

Can I pack two items side by side?

With 150 mm of width that works well for slim items. Place a strip of board or some filling material between them so they cannot rub against each other in transit.

Do I need the low or the taller version?

Measure the height of your item and allow two to three centimetres for padding. If you stay below that mark, this low model ships the least amount of air.
