Single wall box 200 x 100 x 100 mm - narrow and elongated

A box measuring 200 x 100 x 100 mm comes close to being a sleeve: twice as long as it is wide, with a square cross-section. That is exactly what rod-shaped items call for, such as tubes, shafts, candles, a single bottle lying down, long tool parts or rolled-up film. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for shipping boxes in single wall board, and within our range of cardboard boxes this narrow model is often overlooked without good reason.

The small cross-section keeps the shipping volume low, while the square shape supports the contents along their entire length. The 3 mm B-flute carries contents up to a few kilos. With an elongated model one rule applies above all: the longer the box, the more it matters that the contents cannot slide, because a loose item slams into the end panel with every movement. A strip of padding at each end is usually enough to hold the product centred and protect its edges.

Frequently asked questions

How do I stop the contents from sliding?

Pad out the ends, not just the sides. In a long box the end panel is the point the contents hit with every knock. Close both seams afterwards with tape.

Can I place two items side by side?

At 100 mm wide that only works with very slim items. For two products next to each other a model with a larger internal width is far more pleasant to work with.

Is single wall board rigid enough over 200 mm of length?

Yes, the square cross-section keeps the box rigid. Only with heavy contents pressing on one point can the long side start to bulge. Choose a thicker quality in that case, and put heavy bars in a shorter model.
