Cardboard boxes 800 x 600 x 600 mm – generous capacity in double wall board

A box with internal dimensions of 800 mm long, 600 mm wide and 600 mm high holds almost 0.29 m³. This is the size to reach for when your contents take up space but are not especially heavy: one large box instead of four medium ones saves handling, tape and labels. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for cardboard boxes, and this is one of the sizes businesses use to cut down the number of parcels they send.

With a base this large, double wall is no luxury. A 60 cm high wall in single wall board starts to bulge as soon as the box is full. The 7 mm BC flute keeps the side walls straight, so the box stays square on the pallet.

Watch the volumetric weight

With this format, carriers almost always charge by volumetric weight. A filled box therefore counts as heavier than the scales suggest. If you send several parcels a week, check whether pallet shipping works out cheaper.

Frequently asked questions

How much weight can I put in a box this size?

With a large base, the bottom is the limiting factor. Spread the weight over the whole surface, tape the bottom in an H pattern and keep heavy shipments below thirty kilos.

Can I assemble this box on my own?

You can, but with two people it stays square more easily. Fold the short bottom flaps first, then the long ones, and secure the seam with a wide roll of packing tape.

Does this size fit neatly on a Euro pallet?

The 800 x 600 mm base is exactly half a Euro pallet (1200 x 800 mm). Two boxes side by side fill one layer, which makes stretch wrapping easier. As these are internal dimensions, the layer (approx. 1228 x 814 mm externally) does overhang the pallet edge slightly.
