This is a box you lift with two people, even when it is almost empty. Not because of the weight, but because of the size: 700 mm in all three directions means one person simply cannot get their arms around it. Mathematically, the cube is the most efficient shape: maximum capacity for a minimum of board. At 343 litres, however, the volumetric weight with parcel carriers rises to almost 70 kg. This size is therefore nearly always a job for pallet transport or your own delivery, not for a parcel service.

When a pallet box is the better fit

Once the contents approach 50 kg, the problem shifts from packing to lifting. A cardboard cube has to be lifted by someone; a pallet box sits on a pallet and goes onto the lorry with a pallet truck. If the contents stay light and bulky – insulation material, cushions, empty housings – this cube is actually the more economical choice.

Can one person move this box when filled?

No, plan on two people as standard. The box is wider than the reach of an average employee, which makes lifting awkward and unsafe even at a low weight.

Will a parcel service accept this size?

Usually not as a standard parcel. Carriers apply a maximum length plus girth of around 300 cm, and the volumetric weight of almost 70 kg also comes into play. Ask about a pallet shipment in advance.

How high can I stack them?

With light contents, the double wall easily handles two to three layers. With heavier contents, add a layer pad between each layer so the pressure runs through the corners rather than the top flaps.
