What a tall side wall demands of the board

At 400 mm high, the side wall is the largest unsupported panel of the box. When the contents push outwards, a thin wall bulges – and that is exactly where the box loses its stacking strength. 7 mm double wall board keeps the panel flat, so the weight of boxes above is carried neatly down through the corners. Seal the box with a continuous strip of packing tape along the centre seam so the top flaps cannot spring open.

What is the difference from the 350 mm high version?

Five centimetres of height and twelve litres of capacity. The footprint and board quality are identical, so both sizes fit in the same column on the pallet.

Will volumetric weight apply to this box?

Most likely, yes. Using carriers' usual conversion factors, 96 litres works out at a volumetric weight of around 20 kg. If your shipment weighs less than that, the carrier will normally charge on the volumetric weight.

Can I ship the box half full?

Preferably not without void fill. A half-filled box of this height will collapse as soon as something is stacked on top. Fill the empty space or choose a lower model from the same range.
