Cardboard boxes 588 x 388 x 476 mm – extra height on a compact base

Sometimes the challenge is not length or width, but height. This box combines a 588 x 388 mm base with an internal height of 476 mm, giving you almost 109 litres of capacity. Compared with a 590 x 390 x 280 mm box, you gain nearly 20 centimetres of height without needing any more floor or pallet space. Applications for tall and bulky contents

Upright products: lamps, vases and bottles in their own inner packaging that need to travel standing up.
Light but bulky: cushions, duvets, textiles or foam parts that take up plenty of space but weigh little.
Moving and archiving: clothes, toys and kitchenware stored in an orderly way.

As the box is taller than it is wide, careful packing pays off: heavy items at the bottom, lighter ones on top and any gaps filled. A ‘This way up’ sticker from our range of warning labels makes it immediately clear how the box should be handled. Like our other folding boxes, this regular slotted container (FEFCO 0201) is supplied flat.

What is the advantage over a lower box with the same base?

You gain almost 20 centimetres of height on virtually the same footprint. That is ideal for products that need to stand upright or for light, bulky goods – while your pallet layout stays the same.

How do I stop a tall box from bulging or tipping over?

Place the heaviest part of the contents at the bottom, fill any empty space and do not overfill the box. Seal the top and bottom with an H-seal of tape so the flaps stay flat and the box stacks well.

Is this box suitable for moving house?
