Width and height are both 350 mm here. That may sound like a detail, but it means the box has the same cross-section along its entire length: you can lay it on any side and the contents will fit just the same. Add the 550 mm length and you have just over 67 litres. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for double wall shipping boxes, and these proportions are popular with businesses whose products differ mainly in length.

The boxes come in packs of 10 and, at 0.77 kg each, are relatively light for their size. That immediately saves on the shipping weight of every consignment you send in them.

How to get the most out of it

✔ Lay the box on its long side – filling is quicker than from the top.
✔ Fill the ends – in a long box the contents will otherwise slide to the short sides.
✔ Tape the full length of the seam – use strong packing tape along the entire 550 mm.
✔ Stack squarely – double wall carries the load at the corners, not in the middle.

What is the advantage of a square cross-section?

You don't need to think about orientation. Whether lying flat or on its side, the opening is 350 x 350 mm, which makes packing and stacking easier than with a box that has three different dimensions.

Will an item of 55 cm fit in this box?

Not quite. The 550 mm is the internal length and you need some clearance at both ends. Allow for a maximum product length of around 53 to 54 cm.

How much void fill do I need with this size?

More than with a snug-fitting box – that is the price of a universal model. Ideally, use cardboard dividers along the length; they hold the contents in place without filling up the volume.
