Cardboard boxes 500 x 500 x 270 mm – square base with working height

This is the taller version of the square 500 x 500 mm model. Same base, but with a height of 270 mm instead of 200 mm, taking the capacity from 50 to almost 68 litres. That difference counts as soon as your product is not flat: a helmet, a lampshade, a plant pot or a device with a protruding part needs room in every direction. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for shipping boxes, supplying the full range of heights on this base – and within that range, this size is the popular step between low and tall.

Frequently asked questions

When should I choose 270 mm instead of 200 mm height?

As soon as your product is taller than 18 cm, or when you want to add a layer of protective material on top of the contents. If everything stays flat, the low version is more economical in shipping volume.

Why do fewer packs fit on a pallet than with the low model?

Because a pack of 15 taller boxes is thicker when flat. With this size we get 9 packs per pallet, compared with 16 for the low version.

How do I fill the space around a round product?

Work from the bottom up: first a flat layer on the base, then place the product in the centre and fill the gaps at the sides. A square base makes this easier than an elongated model.
