Packing a board, a wall panel or a set of tiles in a box that is too tall almost always goes wrong: the contents tip, slide and arrive on a corner. A low model solves that. With a 500 x 500 mm base and a height of just 200 mm, flat contents lie securely in one or two layers. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for cardboard boxes – including these less everyday proportions.

What you use this size for

Flat products: panels, sheets, tiles, mirrors in a protective sleeve and framed prints.
Display material: folded stands and signage for the shop floor.
Single-layer sets: several items side by side, separated by layer pads.

With a large, low box, the base is where things go wrong. A panel half a metre square will sag under its own contents in single wall board. The 7 mm double wall keeps that surface rigid, so the contents stay flat even when something is placed on top.

Frequently asked questions

How do I keep flat contents in place?

Use cardboard layer pads and fill the last few centimetres beneath the flaps. As long as the contents just touch the top flaps, nothing can tip over in transit.

Does this size still fall within standard parcel rates?

With most carriers it does, but 500 mm square is close to the limit of the cheapest band. Check your carrier's size table before planning in large quantities.

Can I stack several of these boxes on top of each other?

Yes. Stack them squarely so the corners line up, as that is where the strength lies. Staggered stacking costs a low box a disproportionate amount of its strength.
