Ask a warehouse operative which size they reach for most often, and this one usually comes up first. At 500 x 400 x 350 mm it is large enough for a substantial 70-litre shipment, yet not so big that it becomes unwieldy once full. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for double wall shipping boxes – and this size has been on our shelves without interruption ever since.

The board is 7 mm BC flute. Two fluted layers between three flat liners create a wall that absorbs knocks and withstands stacking pressure. That second point matters with this size, because the box is rarely shipped on its own: it usually travels on a pallet with a few more layers on top.

How many boxes fit on a pallet?

A pallet holds 9 packs of 15 boxes, so 135 boxes supplied flat. Once erected, they naturally take up considerably more space.

How much weight can I put in this box?

The board can take more than your back can. Keep to around 20 kg as a practical upper limit; beyond that, lifting becomes irresponsible and carriers start adding a surcharge.

Can I use this box for long-term storage?

Yes, provided it is stored dry. Corrugated board absorbs moisture and loses strength as a result, so always place the bottom layer on a pallet or shelf rather than directly on a concrete floor.
