Mind the volumetric weight

For large boxes, carriers often charge on volumetric (dimensional) weight instead of actual weight. With this size you quickly end up in a higher rate band, even if the contents are light. So fill the box as full as possible: one well-filled shipment is almost always cheaper than two half-empty ones.

About 71 litres. For comparison: that is around 19 litres more than the 277 mm high version with the same footprint.

Will a tall box stay upright when half full?

Yes, as long as you keep the contents at the bottom and fill the remaining space. A half-full tall box taped shut without void fill can collapse when stacked.

Is this size suitable for moving house?

Certainly, but don't fill it with books or tools. At 71 litres, heavy contents quickly become too heavy to lift; use this size for bulky, lighter belongings.
