Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for double wall shipping boxes, and this small size is one that is often underestimated. With internal dimensions of 160 mm long, 120 mm wide and 110 mm high it is a compact little box, yet thanks to the 7 mm BC flute it takes considerably more weight than a comparable single wall shipping box. Think of bearings, fixings, small tools or a glass component that has to arrive undamaged.

The boxes are supplied flat, so they take up hardly any space at the packing station and can be erected in one movement. Seal them with a strip of packing tape over the seam; the double wall keeps the box firmly in shape, even when fully loaded.

What is this size used for?

Heavy small items: metalware, parts and tools that would make a thin box bulge.
Fragile contents: the 7 mm wall absorbs knocks during sorting and transport.

Are the stated dimensions internal or external?

160 x 120 x 110 mm are the internal dimensions. The external dimensions are slightly larger because of the 7 mm wall on each side – allow for this if the box has to fit on a shelf or in a crate.

How much weight can such a small box take?

With this size, volume is the limit rather than strength. The double wall easily keeps a box filled with a few kilos in shape, provided you fill any gaps with void fill so nothing can shift.

Can I stack the boxes?

Yes. Stack them corner on corner, as that is where corrugated board gets its strength. Preferably do not place closed boxes loosely on top of a half-filled box.
