The same footprint as a Euro pallet, but with a height of 850 mm and available to order in tens. That makes this the format for businesses that occasionally need a bulk unit and do not want to store a full pallet of boxes straight away. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for cardboard boxes, supplying large sizes in smaller order quantities too.

The board is 7 mm double wall BC flute. At 85 centimetres high on a pallet-sized base, that is the minimum construction: the side walls need to hold the contents in place and withstand stacking pressure.

Transport by pallet

Once filled, this unit always leaves your premises on a pallet. With 850 mm plus the pallet itself, you come to around one metre, which in most trailers and racking leaves room for a second layer. During transhipment, the same applies as for any pallet-based box: stretch wrap down past the bottom edge, and do not steer the forks into the board.

What is the difference from the version sold in 80s?

Mainly the order quantity, plus a few centimetres in height and base dimensions. If you need this format regularly, the pallet pack works out cheaper per box.

How do I fill an 85 cm tall box efficiently?

Place it on a pallet at floor level and build up in layers, with a flat sheet of corrugated board in between. That way you do not have to reach over the rim, and the weight is spread evenly.

Can I use this box as a temporary storage bin?

That is common practice. Sealed and wrapped, the unit keeps its shape for months, provided it is kept dry and on a pallet rather than directly on a concrete floor.
