1200 by 800 millimetres is the modular dimension on which the entire European logistics chain is built. This box adopts that size literally and adds 800 mm of height: a transport unit that fits every racking bay, every container and every trailer layout without any calculations. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler where businesses source their double wall shipping boxes, right up to these bulk sizes supplied per full pallet of 80.

The internal dimensions match the pallet size; because of the wall thickness, the external dimensions come to approx. 1214 x 814 mm, so the box overhangs the edges of the pallet by a few millimetres all round. Place the unit straight and centred, and stretch wrap it firmly. The 7 mm double wall BC board absorbs contact with a fork or a neighbouring pallet without bending.

Bulk transport and transhipment

A unit of this size always ships by pallet, never as a parcel – just like pallet boxes. In a standard trailer, these pallet positions sit in two rows side by side, and in a shipping container the 1200 x 800 mm layout also leaves little floor space unused. When stacking, keep in mind that the load-bearing strength lies in the corners: only place a second unit exactly on top of the one below, with a layer pad in between.

Frequently asked questions

Does the box overhang the pallet?

Slightly: 1200 x 800 mm is the internal dimension, so the wall thickness makes it overhang by approx. 7 mm all round. Place it straight and centred, and check after filling that it has not shifted; an overhang of just a few centimetres is enough to cause damage during transhipment.

Can I put heavy goods in it?

At these dimensions, the base sets the limit. Spread the weight evenly, use a base board for point loads and only ever lift the unit with a pallet underneath.

Why are they supplied in 80s?

Stacked flat, eighty boxes form exactly one full pallet. For this format that is the most efficient transport unit; smaller quantities work out more expensive per box in freight.
