The 1180 x 780 mm base is no coincidence: it is the footprint of a Euro pallet, kept a few millimetres smaller so the box sits just inside it and does not overhang the edges. With a height of 600 mm, you get a spacious bulk pack that can still be filled by hand. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for double wall shipping boxes, and we supply pallet-based sizes like this one from stock.

Keeping the box within the pallet makes a real difference in practice: no overhanging edges to get damaged during stretch wrapping, and the pallet slides into racking or a truck without jamming.

Sixty centimetres is a deliberate choice: low enough to reach into without a step, high enough for a full batch. If you fill from a workbench, this is your model; if you work with a tipper, a taller version on the same footprint will suit you better.

Frequently asked questions

Does the box have to stand on a pallet?

For transport, yes. When full, this unit is too heavy and too large to move by hand; on a pallet you can pick it up with a pallet truck and the base is protected.

Can I stack two of these boxes on top of each other?

With light contents that is possible, provided the edges line up exactly: the load-bearing strength is in the corners. For heavier contents, use a layer pad or choose one tall box.

What is the difference from a pallet box?

A pallet box usually consists of a separate base, sleeve and lid. This is a one-piece regular slotted container (RSC, FEFCO 0201) that you erect and tape shut, which is quicker but less flexible in height.
