Double wall cardboard boxes - 1070 x 460 x 370mm

Cardboard boxes 1070 x 460 x 370 mm – an elongated format with room all round

Not every size is a round number, and there is often a good reason for that: this format is designed for products that are just over a metre long yet still need some width. At 1070 x 460 x 370 mm, it sits between the slim tube box and the large block-shaped box. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for businesses that need double wall shipping boxes in non-standard sizes.

The 7 mm double wall BC flute keeps the box rigid along its full length. With an elongated model, that matters more than pure stacking strength: it is carried and tipped more often than it is stacked, and that is exactly when bending stress builds up in the middle.

Suitable for

Sports and leisure items: ski equipment, fitness parts and water sports gear.
Machine and installation parts: shafts, guides and rail systems.
Long sets with accessories: a main product with loose parts alongside, packed in smaller shipping boxes.

Specifications

In between the standard sizes

If your product is around a metre long but will not fit in a slim tube box, this model keeps the empty space to a minimum. That means less void fill, a lower volumetric weight and less chance of the contents shifting in transit. If in doubt, measure the diagonal of your product: that determines whether it fits.

✔ Rigid along its length – no sagging when carried or tipped.
✔ Room all round – space for a layer of protection.
✔ Packed in 10s – a manageable pack, even without a forklift.
✔ Brown and unprinted – neutral for any sender.

Frequently asked questions

Why are these sizes not round numbers?

The internal dimensions follow from the blank size used to die-cut the board. This keeps waste to a minimum and matches the box more closely to common product sizes.

Will this box be accepted as a standard parcel?

With a length of over a metre, most carriers charge a length surcharge or handle the shipment manually. Check this in your rate card beforehand.

Can I combine this format with smaller boxes on one pallet?

Yes, provided you place the elongated boxes at the bottom. Put smaller parcels on top and use a layer pad, so the weight is spread over the full length.
