- Shipping tubes and longboxes for posters, drawings and long products
Pack safely with a cardboard box
Corrugated board owes its strength to the fluted middle layer. It absorbs impact and spreads pressure across the whole surface, so a cardboard box protects your goods against the three biggest transport risks: impact, moisture and stacking pressure. Choose a box that is slightly larger than the product, fill the remaining space and you prevent the contents from shifting during the sorting process.
A well-chosen box also saves money. An oversized box costs extra void fill and quickly falls into a more expensive volumetric class with carriers, while a board quality that is too light results in transit damage and returns. Getting the size and flute quality right therefore pays for itself.
Single, double or triple wall: how much strength do you need?
Single wall
Single wall board consists of one fluted layer between two flat liners. This quality is light, easy to fold and prints well, making it the standard for web shop orders and non-fragile items. Work with a guide weight of no more than 10 kilograms. We supply single wall in 2 mm and 3 mm, so you can choose a lighter or a sturdier version per item.
Double wall
Double wall board has two fluted layers between three flat liners, around 7 mm thick in total. This gives a noticeably higher stacking strength and puncture resistance. Choose this version for heavier or fragile goods: up to roughly 40 kilograms, double wall is the logical choice. For shipments that are handled several times, or that sit at the bottom of a pallet, the extra layer is worth the difference in price.
Triple wall
Triple wall board is built up from three fluted layers alternating with four flat liners, making it up to 70% stronger than single and double wall. Use these boxes for machine parts, furniture, tools and sea freight – wherever the box itself has to take on part of the structure.

The right box for every application
Shipments through the letterbox
If your product fits the letterbox format, you save considerably on shipping costs and your customer does not have to be at home. Our letterbox boxes are designed for exactly that: a low height, a self-locking bottom and a flat build that fits through virtually any letterbox. The brown/white version also gives your shipment a neat appearance when it is unpacked.
Standard parcel shipments
For the bulk of your daily shipments, single wall folding boxes are the most economical choice. They are delivered flat, take up little storage space and are set up in one movement. For a tidier presentation, choose our postal boxes with a self-adhesive closing strip.
Heavy, fragile and international shipments
For delicate or heavy products, choose double wall folding boxes. For sea export or shipments with many handling points, triple wall is the safest option.
Moving, renovating and archiving
Our moving boxes have handles and an auto-lock bottom, so they are ready to use in seconds and can be loaded heavily. They work just as well for archive storage. For blankets, furniture dollies and covering material, see our moving materials.
Pallet loads and bulk transport
If you ship complete pallets, a pallet box protects the entire load as a single unit. With cardboard pallet sheets in Euro pallet or block pallet format you stabilise the layers and stop strapping from cutting into the top boxes.
Posters, drawings and long products
Long, rollable products travel most safely in shipping tubes or longboxes. Round tubes with end caps and square longboxes with a self-adhesive closing strip are available from A3 to A0 format.
Printing cardboard boxes with your own logo
Would you like to buy cardboard boxes with a print? Your company logo or company name can be printed on various white and brown boxes. Do bear in mind a longer lead time than for unprinted boxes, because production only starts once you have approved the proof. If you are looking for a faster and cheaper way to personalise your shipment, printed tape carrying your logo on a neutral box is a good alternative.
Packing sustainably with cardboard
Corrugated board is fully recyclable and is reprocessed into packaging paper on a large scale. Choosing the right size also limits the amount of void fill you use and the transport volume you pay for. To take your packing line further, see our protective and filling materials, which include paper-based void fill so the whole pack can go into the paper recycling stream.
Complete your packaging
A box only becomes a package once the contents are secured and the box is properly closed. So order at the same time:
- packaging tape in PVC or PP to seal the box
- protective and filling materials such as corrugated wrap, void fill paper and bubble wrap
- shipping materials for envelopes, tubes and mailing bags

Frequently asked questions about cardboard boxes
Which board quality should I choose for a shipment up to 10 kilos?
For shipments up to roughly 10 kilograms, a 3 mm single wall folding box is sufficient in most cases. If the contents are fragile or the box will be stacked, choose double wall after all: the extra fluted layer mainly increases stacking strength.
What is the difference between a letterbox box and a postal box?
A letterbox box is designed in height to match a standard letterbox opening, so the shipment can be delivered without a signature. A postal box is taller and intended for parcel delivery; it offers more room and carries heavier contents.
Are the stated dimensions internal or external?
For corrugated boxes, dimensions are given as internal measurements, in the order length x width x height. Measure your product including any void fill and add a few millimetres of clearance.
Can I have cardboard boxes printed with my logo?
Yes, both white and brown boxes can be printed with your logo or company name. Contact us about the options, the minimum quantities and the lead time, which is longer than for unprinted boxes because a proof is produced first.
Are cardboard boxes recyclable?
Corrugated board is fully recyclable and belongs with the paper recycling. Remove plastic tape and labels before disposal; if you use paper tape, the box can go into the paper stream as it is.
What is the best way to store cardboard boxes?
Store boxes flat, dry and not directly on a concrete floor: board attracts moisture and loses strength as a result. Kept on a pallet or a rack, away from damp walls, corrugated board holds its strength for years.
Can I receive a sample box?
If you are torn between two sizes or qualities, we are happy to think along with you and see whether a sample is possible. That way you avoid taking in a full pallet of the wrong size.
