Thanks to the combination of nylon strap and steel lock, the white Thomas & Betts ty-raps are resistant to oils, fats, salt, and diluted chemicals. This makes them suitable for demanding applications where a regular cable tie falls short.

What is the white TYB24M cable tie used for?

With a length of 140 mm and a bundle diameter of up to 29 mm, the TYB24M is a versatile size for bundling thinner cable harnesses, pipes, and wires. The white color is often chosen for its neat, unobtrusive appearance in visible installations.

How do you attach a ty-rap?

A ty-rap (also known as a cable tie or bundle strap) is a fastening material intended to hold cables, wires, and pipes together quickly and easily. For the TYB24M, the pointed end is inserted through the head; once the strap passes the stainless steel 316 lock, the steel tab grips tightly, and the tie cannot be loosened.

You can tighten the ty-raps by hand or use one of our cable tie tools . The advantage of a cable tie tool is that the tie is tightened snugly and evenly, and the protruding part is cut off neatly right away.

What is the difference between a TYB24M and a regular nylon cable tie?
