Thomas & Betts TY100-18-M: 1000 natural 100 x 2.5 mm cable ties for production runs

In wire harness and panel building, small ties get used up at a fast pace. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for Thomas & Betts cable ties, which is why we supply the TY100-18-M in a pack of 1000. It is the European Ty-Fast measuring 100 x 2.5 mm, suitable for bundles from 1.5 to 20.5 mm with a tensile strength of 80 N.

When you fit hundreds a day, every movement counts. The integrally moulded nylon pawl needs very little insertion force, which is easier on hands and wrists, yet still grips the strap securely. The low, rounded head stays compact on the bundle, and the SureGrip tab holds the tail as you feed it in. The polyamide 6.6 is halogen- and silicone-free. Other uncoloured lengths are available among our white cable ties.

Built for production and assembly

The natural version is intended for indoor use and is not UV-stabilised. On the factory floor, inside an enclosure or within an appliance housing that is no issue at all, and the neutral colour suits almost any design.

For large volumes, one of our cable tie pliers is well worth it for consistent tension and a flush cut. If bundles run close to heat sources, choose from our heat-resistant cable ties.

Frequently asked questions about the TY100-18-M

Why does a low insertion force matter?

In series production one operator often fits hundreds of ties per shift. A strap that feeds easily through the head saves time and reduces strain on the hands, without compromising locking strength.

Up to what temperature can the TY100-18-M be used?

The range is -40 °C to +85 °C. For bundles that run hotter on a permanent basis, we recommend a heat-resistant tie.

Is this size also available in black?

Yes, as the TY100-18X-C. That black 100 x 2.5 mm version is UV resistant and comes in packs of 100.
