In the workshop, on the test floor or in a service case, a bag of 100 is often exactly the right amount. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for Thomas & Betts cable ties, and the TY100-18-C is the European Ty-Fast size of 100 x 2.5 mm. It closes around bundles from as small as 1.5 mm up to 20.5 mm, so it handles anything from a single wire to a small loom.

Strap and pawl are moulded together in one piece of polyamide 6.6. The nylon pawl lets the strap slide through the head with little effort and then holds it firmly. The material is halogen- and silicone-free and meets flammability rating UL 94 V-2. Because the natural version is not UV-stabilised, this tie belongs indoors. Applications for the TY100-18-C

The short length avoids long offcuts and keeps small bundles neat. In natural colour the tie is barely noticeable against light-coloured cables and housings.

Frequently asked questions about the TY100-18-C

What is the difference between the TY100-18-C and the TY100-18-M?

They are the same 100 x 2.5 mm tie. The TY100-18-C comes in bags of 100, the TY100-18-M in bags of 1000. The small pack suits occasional use, the large one production work.

What does UL 94 V-2 mean?

UL 94 is a widely used flammability classification for plastics. A V-2 material extinguishes itself within a short time after ignition, which makes the tie suitable for electrical installations and equipment.

How thin can the bundle be?

The TY100-18-C closes from a diameter of 1.5 mm, so you can also secure a single thin wire or sensor lead.
