At 1300 grams per piece in 150 x 200 cm (roughly 430 grams per m²) it is woven more densely than a storage blanket, because here the furniture really does move: lifting, turning, over a threshold, into the van and under a ratchet strap. What 1300 grams actually does

The weight is not an extra layer; it sits in the weave itself. Same mix of fabrics with wool as the lighter storage blanket, simply beaten more tightly. That gives you two things you notice during transport. First, tensile strength: the blanket does not tear when you pull a ratchet strap over it and that strap bites into the corner of a cabinet. Second, grip: the rough surface catches on lacquered wood and stays put, even as the van brakes and pulls away. A smooth sheet of film slides down at exactly that moment and leaves unprotected precisely the corner that takes the knock. The edges are hemmed all round, so the weave will not fray after dozens of trips.

Made from 100% recycled material

Both the fibres and the polyester stitching thread are made entirely from recycled material. For purchasing policies and tenders that is a hard figure rather than an intention, and at the end of its life the blanket goes straight into textile recycling.

Moving blanket, storage blanket or padded blanket?

This 1300 gram moving blanket is built for movement. If the furniture is standing still instead — in a warehouse, showroom or storage unit — the lighter 1100 gram storage blanket is enough: it is breathable and keeps dust off, but lacks the mass to absorb impact. For delicate, high-value furniture with sharp corners, the padded blanket of 183 x 203 cm gives the heaviest cushioning. Combine these blankets with furniture covers over upholstery and with strapping materials to keep the load in place.

Frequently asked questions

How many moving blankets do I need for one van?

Allow roughly one blanket per large item, plus a handful extra as an interlayer in the load space. For a household move with a van, this pack of 10 will take you a long way. Removal firms running several trips a day usually keep two or three of these packs on board per vehicle.

Will the blanket slide off a lacquered cabinet while driving?

The woven surface is rough and catches on lacquer and veneer, so the blanket stays where you put it. On long journeys, secure it anyway with an elastic strap or with mini stretch film. That film clings to itself rather than to the furniture, so no adhesive residue is left behind.

What should I do with blankets that have got wet?

Hang them out and let them dry completely before they go back into the van. A damp stack folded away smells musty within a day, and that smell transfers into upholstery on the next job. Wet fabric is also heavier and marks light-coloured materials more easily.

Can I also use these blankets to screen off a lift wall or stairwell?

Yes. On moves in apartment blocks and office buildings this is one of the most common uses. Hang the blanket over the lift wall or handrail and fix it with an elastic strap or clamp. For the floor along the walking route, use floor protectors instead: those are designed to be walked on.
