Black heat-resistant cable ties 200 x 4.8 mm

This black heat-resistant cable tie, 200 mm long and 4.8 mm wide, withstands sustained heat up to +120 °C. The heat-stabilised nylon retains its strength (22.2 kg) where ordinary cable ties harden or weaken. The pack contains 100 pieces.

Applications and sectors

These heat-resistant cable ties are developed for hot environments and are used, among other things, for:

• bundling cables and hoses in hot production environments;
• tying together medium-sized cable bundles near heat sources;
• securing pipes in heating, climate and ventilation systems (HVAC);
• bundling wiring in engine bays and near exhaust systems;

How do you fasten a heat-resistant cable tie?

A heat-resistant cable tie – also known as a tie-wrap or bundling strap – closes with a self-locking toothed head. As soon as you push the pointed end through the head and it passes the first tooth, the tie can no longer move back. You tighten the tie by hand or use a cable tie tool, which pulls the tie to a preset tension and cuts off the excess end flush.

Up to what temperature are these cable ties resistant?

These heat-resistant cable ties can be used from approximately -40 to +120 °C. This means they withstand considerably higher temperatures than standard cable ties, which typically go up to around +80 °C.

What else are these cable ties resistant to?

Besides heat, they are UV-stabilised and resistant to diluted acids and oils, which makes them suitable for demanding industrial and outdoor environments.

Can I tighten the cable tie by hand, or do I need a tool?

Both are possible. By hand you simply pull the tie tight; with a cable tie tool you tighten it to an even tension and cut the end off flush in the same action.
