Why is a square end panel useful?

Because the width and height are identical (385 mm), it does not matter which side the box rests on. That gives you flexibility when stacking on a pallet or on shelving.

What are the external dimensions of this box?

The stated size is the internal dimension. Due to the thickness of the double wall board, the external size is about 14 mm larger in each direction, so approximately 599 x 399 x 399 mm.

How do I assemble and seal the box?

Unfold the flat box, seal the bottom with tape (ideally with an H-seal for heavier contents) and, once filled, close the top flaps in the same way.
