How do you fasten a cable tie?

Fastening is quick: guide the band around the bundle, push the pointed end through the head and pull tight. The ratchet closure engages automatically and does not release. For firm, even tension and a neat, flush cut, use a cable tie plier.

Will the cable tie damage my cables?

Not with normal tightening; the wide band spreads the pressure. Do not tighten the tie more than necessary to protect the insulation of sensitive cables.

What else are cable ties used for besides cabling?

Besides cables, they are used to bundle hoses, pipes and nets, and to temporarily fasten material to fencing, racks or structures.

What is this cable tie resistant to?

The polyamide 6.6 is UV-stabilised and resistant to diluted acids and oils. The tie can be used at temperatures of approximately -40 to +80 °C, suitable for most indoor and outdoor applications.
