How do you fasten a cable tie?

Fastening is quick: guide the band around the bundle, push the pointed end through the head and pull tight. The ratchet closure engages automatically and does not release. For firm, even tension and a neat, flush cut, use a cable tie plier.

Are these cable ties suitable for heavy bundles?

Yes, the greater width provides a high tensile strength. For the very heaviest applications, there are special heavy-duty cable ties.

Are black cable ties suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, the black version contains a UV-stabilising additive and is therefore resistant to sunlight. Natural/white cable ties are mainly intended for indoor use.

Can I reuse the cable tie?

No, the self-locking ratchet closure is permanent and therefore for single use. Cutting is required to remove the band.
