Shrink sleeves for euro and block pallets

These transparent shrink sleeves are suitable for pallets with a maximum size of 100cm long and 120cm wide and 200cm high. So a Euro pallet size with a height of 200cm. The shrink cover itself is larger and has the following dimensions: 127cm long and 2x 54cm wide and 260cm. This way, the shrink cover can easily be placed over the pallet.

The shrink sleeves are biaxially shrinkable. That means they shrink in both length and width as soon as they are heated.

When do you use shrink sleeves?

Transparent shrink sleeves are often used when the following conditions apply:

• heavy pallet loads;
• pallets with many small packages;
• pallet loads that have to stand outside for a long time;
• unstable loads.

How do you use a shrink cover?

You can simply place a shrink cover over a pallet and secure it with some mini wrapping film if necessary. This can be handy when the pallet only needs to be covered for a short time. But as the name suggests, shrink sleeves are usually used to be shrunk around a pallet.

So how do you do that? To shrink a shrink cover, you have a few things like a gas bottle and a shrink gun. Now it sounds like a shrink gun means you have a mega appliance in your house, but that's not so bad. It can be compared to a hefty hair dryer.

• First, you put the cover over the pallet of products.
• Then connect the shrink gun to the gas bottle.
• When the shrink gun is on, you start with a test piece.
• From a distance, you move the shrinking gun ever so slightly closer to the pallet and sleeve until you see that the film reacts to the heat.
• At that point, you know from what distance the film can be shrunk and you can shrink the shrink sleeve tightly around the pallet.
• In the places where the shrink sleeve is folded in half, heat a little longer. But again, start carefully.
• If the film heats too long or gets too hot, the holes will fall in and the film will melt.
