# Gusseted bags 14cm x 5cm gusset x 50cm, 20my

Long and deep: the 14 x 5 x 50 cm gusseted bag combines half a metre of length with a 5 cm gusset. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for gusseted bags for bulky, long goods like large loaves, plants and hoses. The LDPE is transparent and suitable for food contact.

## Gusseted bag 14 x 5 x 50 cm, 20 my

### The largest in this width

With a 50 cm length and a 5 cm gusset, this is the biggest 14 cm-wide bag in the range. It takes products that are both long and thick: large loaves, bundles of leeks or celery, small garden plants, coiled hoses, carpet samples or stacked textile rolls.

### Horticulture and trade

Growers can use the bag for cuttings and small shrubs, and traders for bundled stakes or tools. The gusset gives volume, while the clear film allows the plant to be seen. Try a sample first, so you know how the bag behaves with your own goods.

### Practical points

- Fold the top over and close with tape, a clip or a heat sealer.

- The bag is open and not resealable.

- The film is suitable for direct food contact.

- LDPE is a recyclable plastic.

The 20 my grade is flexible; thicker film is stiffer and more tear-resistant if your goods are rougher. The deep gusset helps the bag keep its shape when filled, so you can place it upright in a crate while loading.

For goods that are less bulky, the 14 x 4 x 50 cm bag has the same length with a slimmer gusset.

## Frequently asked questions

### What size products need 14 x 5 x 50 cm?

Long and thick items such as large loaves, bundled vegetables, small plants and hoses. If your goods are slimmer, a bag with a 4 cm gusset will do and uses less film.

### Is it a good bag for plants?

It works for small plants and cuttings. Test with your own plants, as every plant is different, and make sure the bag is long enough for the top to be folded over and closed.

### How do I choose between 4 and 5 cm gussets at 50 cm length?

Pick the 5 cm gusset when the contents are thick or bulky, and the 4 cm version for slimmer products. Both come in the same length and in similar widths.

### Is the bag suitable for food?

Yes, the film is suitable for direct food contact, so large loaves and long vegetables can be packed. Close the bag with tape, a clip or a heat sealer.
