# Freezer bags *Looking for strong freezer bags that stand up to cold, moisture and sharp edges? Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for freezer bags and professional packaging supplies. Our gusseted freezer bags are made of clear LDPE with a gusset on both sides, so they open wide and mould neatly around the contents. Ordered on working days before 3:30 PM? Then your order will be shipped the same day.* ## Gusseted freezer bags for catering, butchers and food production Commercial kitchens freeze food every day: portioned meat and fish, prepared vegetables, stocks, sauces and bakery products. That calls for more than a thin household bag. The side gussets give the bag extra capacity, so bulky or angular products fit without stretching or tearing. The clear film shows the contents at a glance, which saves time in a crowded cold store. ### 50 or 70 micron: choosing the right gauge The **50 micron** bag is the all-rounder for everyday use, perfect for portions, vegetables, pastries and bread. For heavier or sharp products such as bone-in meat, whole fish or stock that stays frozen for months, choose **70 micron**. The heavier film offers better puncture resistance and protects longer against dehydration and freezer burn. ### Why LDPE performs well in the freezer LDPE (low-density polyethylene) stays flexible at freezing temperatures instead of turning brittle. It is moisture-resistant, odour-neutral and widely recyclable as PE plastic. ### Sealing and labelling Press out as much air as possible before closing the bag – less air means fewer ice crystals. Close it with a [cable tie](https://www.kortpack.nl/en/closure-materials/cable-ties) or a strip of [packaging tape](https://www.kortpack.nl/en/tape/packaging-tape), and write the contents and freezing date on it so your stock rotates on a first-in, first-out basis. ## Freezer bag specifications Size (W x gusset x L)ThicknessPacked10 x 2.5 x 24 cm50 µm1000 bags per box10 x 4 x 27 cm50 µm1000 bags per box11 x 4.5 x 30 cm50 µm1000 bags per box15 x 4.5 x 30 cm50 µm1000 bags per box15 x 4.5 x 35 cm50 µm1000 bags per box15 x 4.5 x 45 cm50 µm1000 bags per box11 x 4.5 x 30 cm70 µm1000 bags per box15 x 4.5 x 35 cm70 µm1000 bags per box15 x 4.5 x 45 cm70 µm1000 bags per box## Related products For lighter jobs such as bread, confectionery or small parts, take a look at our 20 micron [gusseted bags](https://www.kortpack.nl/en/wrapping-film-shrink-film-top-sheets-pallets/plastic-bags/gusseted-bags). Yes. The bags are made from LDPE suitable for direct food contact, so you can freeze unwrapped meat, fish, vegetables and bread in them. ### How do I read a size such as 15 x 4.5 x 45 cm? The first figure is the flat width, the second the depth of the gusset on each side and the third the length. Once filled, the gussets make the bag considerably roomier than its flat width suggests. ### How can I prevent freezer burn? Let hot food cool first, squeeze out the air and close the bag tightly. For long-term storage, the thicker 70 micron bag gives extra protection. ### How many bags are in a box? Each box contains 1000 freezer bags, giving you a generous supply for the kitchen or production floor. ## Producten - [Freezer bags 10 x 2.5 side gusset x 24 cm. 50 microns - Transparent](en/wrapping-film-shrink-film-top-sheets-pallets/plastic-bags/freezer-bags/freezer-bags-10-x-25-gusset-x-24cm-50-microns-transparent) - [Freezer bags 10 x 4 side gusset x 27 cm. 50 microns - Transparent](en/wrapping-film-shrink-film-top-sheets-pallets/plastic-bags/freezer-bags/freezer-bags-10-x-4-gusset-x-27cm-50-microns-transparent) - [Freezer bags 11 x 4.5 side gusset x 30 cm. 50 microns - Transparent](en/wrapping-film-shrink-film-top-sheets-pallets/plastic-bags/freezer-bags/freezer-bags-11-x-45-gusset-x-30cm-50-microns-transparent) - [Freezer bags 15 x 4.5 side gusset x 30 cm. 50 microns - Transparent](en/wrapping-film-shrink-film-top-sheets-pallets/plastic-bags/freezer-bags/freezer-bags-15-x-45-gusset-x-30cm-50-microns-transparent) - [Freezer bags 15 x 4.5 side gusset x 35 cm. 50 microns - Transparent](en/wrapping-film-shrink-film-top-sheets-pallets/plastic-bags/freezer-bags/freezer-bags-15-x-45-gusset-x-35cm-50-microns-transparent) - [Freezer bags 15 x 4.5 side gusset x 45 cm. 50 microns - Transparent](en/wrapping-film-shrink-film-top-sheets-pallets/plastic-bags/freezer-bags/freezer-bags-15-x-45-gusset-x-45cm-50-microns-transparent) - [Freezer bags 11 x 4.5 side gusset x 30 cm. 70 microns - Transparent](en/wrapping-film-shrink-film-top-sheets-pallets/plastic-bags/freezer-bags/freezer-bags-11-x-45-gusset-x-30cm-70-microns-transparent) - [Freezer bags 15 x 4.5 side gusset x 35 cm. 70 microns - Transparent](en/wrapping-film-shrink-film-top-sheets-pallets/plastic-bags/freezer-bags/freezer-bags-15-x-45-gusset-x-35cm-70-microns-transparent) - [Freezer bags 15 x 4.5 side gusset x 45 cm. 70 microns - Transparent](en/wrapping-film-shrink-film-top-sheets-pallets/plastic-bags/freezer-bags/freezer-bags-15-x-45-gusset-x-45cm-70-microns-transparent) --- Source: https://www.kortpack.nl
