## Blue Nichiban® tape 50 mm x 50 m

Blue Nichiban® tape (50 mm x 50 m) is a professional gaffer tape of Japanese manufacture, type NT1200, with a strong cloth backing and high adhesion. The tape adheres firmly, yet can be removed cleanly after use without adhesive residue – it is precisely this combination that sets Nichiban® apart from ordinary duct tape. Blue is a calm, easily recognisable coding colour that stands apart from the warm signal colours. The 50 mm width is the versatile standard size for general fixing and finishing work.

## Applications and sectors

Thanks to its strong adhesion and clean removal, this Nichiban® tape is used in a wide range of industries, including for:

- stage, lighting and sound engineering;
- sealing and reinforcing export packaging;
- temporary repairs to sea containers, vehicles and machines;
- concealing and fixing cables on walkways at trade fairs and exhibitions;
- assembling and temporarily sealing air ducts;

You will find the tape used in, among others, set building and theatre, construction and industry and the events and AV sector.

### Can I use the tape on equipment and flight cases?

On most surfaces Nichiban® comes off cleanly, which makes it suitable for equipment and cases; test on lacquered or sensitive surfaces beforehand.

### Can I apply the tape without tools?

Yes, the cloth backing tears by hand both lengthwise and crosswise, so you can work to size straight away without scissors or a knife.

### How do I recognise genuine Nichiban® tape?

By the printed core: genuine Nichiban® always has the text Nichiban® on the core. A blank core means it is not genuine Nichiban® and therefore does not have the same properties.
