## Black Nichiban® tape 50 mm x 25 m

Black Nichiban® tape (50 mm x 25 m) is a professional gaffer tape of Japanese manufacture, type NT1200, with a strong cloth backing and high adhesion. The tape adheres firmly, yet can be removed cleanly after use without adhesive residue – it is precisely this combination that sets Nichiban® apart from ordinary duct tape. Black is inconspicuous and therefore the trusted standard on stage, set and in the studio. The 50 mm width is the versatile standard size for general fixing and finishing work.

## Applications and sectors

Thanks to its strong adhesion and clean removal, this Nichiban® tape is used in a wide range of industries, including for:

- masking for sandblasting and spray work;
- assembling and temporarily sealing air ducts;
- temporary repairs to sea containers, vehicles and machines;
- concealing and fixing cables on walkways at trade fairs and exhibitions;
- concealing cables invisibly on set and stage;

Genuine Nichiban® tape always has a printed core bearing the text Nichiban®. If that print is missing from the core, it is not genuine Nichiban® and the tape lacks the characteristic adhesion and clean removal.

On most surfaces Nichiban® comes off cleanly, which makes it suitable for equipment and cases; test on lacquered or sensitive surfaces beforehand.

### Does Nichiban® tape leave adhesive residue?

No, Nichiban® is designed to be removed cleanly and leaves no adhesive residue on most surfaces. Test on a small area beforehand on porous or sensitive surfaces.

### How does Nichiban® differ from ordinary duct tape?

Nichiban® has a high-quality cloth backing, high adhesion and leaves no adhesive residue on removal. Ordinary duct tape is cheaper but can leave residue when removed.
