## American winding: made for machine strapping

American winding (AW) differs from single winding in how the roll is built up: several layers lie slightly over one another, producing a thicker coil that **automatic strapping machines** process without snagging. Single-wound rolls are intended for manual strapping. So for high-volume production with 19 mm, AW is the logical choice.
