# Steel strapping AW - 12mm x 0.5mm - 48 to 50 kilos per roll

## Steel strapping AW 12 mm black lacquered: strong strapping with plenty of metres per roll

The 12 mm wide steel strapping is the narrowest in our AW range and, with a tensile strength of 540 kg, offers ample power for bundling, packaging and securing heavy goods. Because the band is narrow, a 48 to 50 kg roll holds more metres – a real advantage if you strap in high volumes. Ordered on working days before 3:30 PM? Then your order will be shipped the same day.

## American winding: for machine strapping

With American winding (AW), the band is wound in several slightly overlapping layers into a thicker coil. This coil shape is tailored to **automatic strapping machines**, which feed the band through without snagging. [Single-wound rolls](en/strapping-materials/strapping-straps/steel-strap/steel-band-single-wrapping) – one tight layer – are intended for manual strapping. If you work with a machine, this AW version is the right choice.

## Finishing and other sizes

Close the band with seals and a tensioner or with a [sealless steel strapping tool.](en/strapping-materials/strapping-straps/steel-belt-shears-avt-tensioner) Need more power? The same black lacquered band is also available in 16 mm and 19 mm. You will find the full range under our strapping band.
