# Tubular netting 50-100mm x 50m - 1 roll red

## Tubular netting 50-100 mm x 50 m in red

The larger the diameter, the more the netting has to span — and the sturdier it has to be. That is why this version, at 44 grams per metre, is well over twice the weight of the finer sizes. It stretches from 50 to 100 mm and still holds enough tension at that girth to stay firmly around the product. The 50-metre roll comes in the same practical dispenser box.

## A heavier quality for robust goods

### What 44 grams per metre means in practice

A heavier netting has thicker strands and a firmer mesh. It gives way less under the weight of the product itself, is less likely to tear on a burr or a thread, and keeps its shape after repeated use. On goods of five to ten centimetres across, that is the difference between netting that stays put and netting that slips while items are stacked.

### What customers use this size for

Cast iron and brass fittings, hydraulic couplings, shut-off valves, pump parts, larger plastic and metal pipes, machine components, wheels and heavier hand tools. It is also a frequent seller in the construction and installation trades, since almost every common pipe diameter falls within its range.

## Red: the colour that demands attention

Everyone on the shop floor reads red as "careful". That makes this version suitable for goods needing extra careful handling, for rejected or not-yet-inspected items, or for rush orders that must not end up on the ordinary stack. If you work with colour coding, it is best to keep red for one unambiguous meaning.

A heavier netting takes up more space per metre. At 50 metres the dispenser box stays just as compact and light as with the fine sizes, so it does not clutter the packing table and can be moved without effort. You are not buying a half-empty box, but a full box of a heavier quality.

## Combining with other protective materials

With robust goods the netting is often the first layer rather than the only one. Cover painted surfaces with [foam foil](https://www.kortpack.nl/en/protective-and-filling-materials/foam-foil), protect protruding edges with [corner profiles](https://www.kortpack.nl/en/protective-and-filling-materials/corner-profiles) or [Nomapack foam profiles](https://www.kortpack.nl/en/protective-and-filling-materials/nomapack-foam-profiles), and fill the space inside the box with [filling materials](https://www.kortpack.nl/en/protective-and-filling-materials/filling-materials).

## Frequently asked questions

### Why is this roll shorter than the finer sizes?

Because the netting is heavier. At 44 grams per metre, 50 metres already fills the dispenser box; 200 metres would give you a box too large and too heavy for a packing table.

### Can I use this netting on products with protruding parts?

Yes — that is exactly what the heavier quality is made for. A flange, a thread or a projecting handle will push the mesh up but will not tear straight through it. If the product carries a genuine burr, file it off or place a strip of foam foil in between.

### How do I cut the netting without it fraying?

Cut at a right angle to the length and keep the netting lightly stretched while you do. Polyethylene does not fray like a woven fabric: the mesh stays connected even if you cut straight through a loop.

### Is this netting suitable for outdoor storage?

For temporary storage under a canopy it is fine. For prolonged exposure to direct sunlight we recommend an additional wrapping, since untreated polyethylene loses strength over time under UV radiation. We are happy to advise on a suitable combination for that situation.

### Does the netting keep out dust and dirt?

No, the mesh is too open for that. The netting protects against scratches, rubbing and knocks; if the product also needs to stay dust-free, combine it with a film or a bag.
