## Frequently asked questions

### Do the coloured stripes stay visible after washing?

Yes. The stripes are part of the weave rather than printed on, so they do not wear away like a print. Do stick to a maximum of 30 °C, though: at higher temperatures the fibre mix can shrink, the weave pulls tighter and the stripes look slightly narrower.

### Can I mark the blanket with a label or a marker pen?

You can, but allow for the fabric. A waterproof marker on the hemmed edge stays legible longest; on the rough surface the ink bleeds. A label sewn in or fastened to the hem lasts longer and survives a wash. Do not use tape to mark the blanket: pulling it off takes fibres with it.

### What do I do with a blanket that has split at the edge?

Secure the tear as soon as possible, because a split hem runs further under tension. A stitched seam with strong thread holds well. If the blanket is damaged in several places, keep using it as an interlayer under tools or under a ratchet strap, but no longer directly against lacquered wood.
