# Ty-Fast® TY175-50X-100 - 186mm x 4.6mm - black ## Black Ty-Fast cable tie for outdoor jobs: Thomas & Betts TY175-50X-100, 186 x 4.6 mm, bag of 100 Connecting an outdoor light, routing a camera cable along a façade or re-securing a loose bundle at a charging point: for jobs like these you want a small supply of black ties close at hand. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for [Thomas & Betts cable ties](en/closure-materials/cable-ties/thomas-betts-cable-ties), and we supply the TY175-50X-100 in a bag of 100 with a euro hang hole. With a length of 186 mm and a 4.6 mm strap, it secures bundles up to 44 mm in diameter. The tie is made of black, UV-resistant and heat-stabilised polyamide 6.6, free of halogens and silicone. It locks by means of a plastic pawl moulded into the head, typical of the Ty-Fast range: the strap is easy to insert and then holds firmly. For prolonged exposure to intense sun, on flat roofs for example, our [extra UV-resistant cable ties](en/closure-materials/cable-ties/extra-uv-resistant-tyraps) offer an extra margin. ## TY175-50X-100 specifications **Brand**Thomas & Betts (ABB)**Type**TY175-50X-100 Ty-Fast cable tie**Colour**Black**Dimensions (l x w)**186 mm x 4.6 mm**Bundle diameter**3 to 44 mm**Tensile strength**222 N (approx. 23 kg)**Strap material**Polyamide 6.6 (nylon), UV and heat stabilised**Locking device**Integral moulded nylon pawl**Temperature range**-40 °C to +85 °C**Min. installation temperature**-20 °C**UV resistant**Yes**Flammability rating**UL 94 V-2**Halogen and silicone free**Yes**Pack contents**100 pieces## Small pack, ready for outdoor jobs The bag of 100 takes up hardly any space in a van or toolbox. To tension every tie consistently and cut it flush, use one of our [cable tie pliers](en/closure-materials/cable-ties/cable-ties_pliers). ## Frequently asked questions about the TY175-50X-100 ### What can I secure with a tensile strength of 222 N? 222 N corresponds to approx. 23 kg. This is the load at which the lock holds according to the manufacturer; it is not a lifting or carrying weight. For bundling and fixing cables, hoses and light pipes it is more than enough. ### How do I trim the excess tail neatly? Cut the tail just behind the head with cable tie pliers or side cutters. A tool with a flush-cut function avoids sharp edges that could later cause injuries or chafe against cables. ### Why choose the bag of 100 instead of the TY175-50X? The TY175-50X is the same black tie, but in a pack of 1000. The bag of 100 is more convenient if you only use this size occasionally or want to split stock across several service vans.
