# Tefzel® TYZ28M - 361mm x 4.8mm - aquamarine ## Long aquamarine Tefzel® cable tie: Thomas & Betts TYZ28M, 361 x 4.8 mm, pack of 500 Need to wrap a large bundle without resorting to a heavy, wide tie? That is where the TYZ28M comes in. With a length of 361 mm, this Ty-Rap reaches a bundle diameter of up to 102 mm according to ABB, with a tensile strength of 222 N (approx. 23 kg). Like the other TYZ ties, the strap is made of Tefzel®, ABB's ETFE fluoropolymer. The material is non-outgassing, silicone-free, radiation resistant and usable from -45 °C to +150 °C. Locking is by a 316 stainless steel barb in the head, which holds the strap at whatever length you pull it to. No, both have a tensile strength of 222 N. Length determines how large the bundle can be, not how much force the tie holds. The TYZ28M wraps bundles up to 102 mm, the TYZ25M up to 48 mm. ### Can I use the TYZ28M in a vacuum? Yes. Tefzel® is non-outgassing, meaning it releases no volatile substances in a vacuum. That is why this series is used in aerospace and in test chambers, among other areas. ### How does the tie behave in severe cold? Once fitted, the TYZ28M remains usable down to -45 °C. Note that the manufacturer specifies a minimum of -20 °C for the installation itself.
