# Thomas & Betts TY27M-6 - 340mm x 6.9mm - blue

## Blue heavy duty cable tie: Thomas & Betts TY27M-6, 340 x 6.9 mm, box of 500

In plant rooms, cables, pipes and hoses often run side by side. A blue tie helps to distinguish, for example, chilled or water lines, and with 534 N of tensile strength the TY27M-6 is strong enough for the job. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for [Thomas & Betts cable ties](en/closure-materials/cable-ties/thomas-betts-cable-ties); we supply this blue 340 x 6.9 mm tie in boxes of 500 to installation contractors and maintenance teams.

Thanks to its 6.9 mm strap of halogen-free polyamide 6.6, the TY27M-6 holds bundles from 6 to 102 mm in diameter under tension. The stainless steel barb in the head locks the strap at any point, without fixed teeth. For more heavy fixings, visit our [heavy duty cable ties](en/closure-materials/cable-ties/heavy-duty-tyraps).

### Common applications

- Bundling chilled and water pipes in plant rooms
- Hose bundles at pumps and installations
- Heavy cables in HVAC and building services
- Colour coding pipe groups in industrial buildings

If the fixing has to go outside, on a roof for example, choose UV-resistant [black cable ties](en/closure-materials/cable-ties/black-tyraps). For very aggressive or hot environments, [stainless steel cable ties](en/closure-materials/cable-ties/stainless-steel-cable-ties) are an all-metal alternative.
