## Thomas & Betts TY27M-4: yellow 340 x 6.9 mm heavy duty cable tie

In machine building, a fixing often has to do two things at once: hold firmly and stand out. The TY27M-4 combines a 6.9 mm strap and 534 N of tensile strength with a bright yellow colour. With a bundle range of 6 to 102 mm, it secures single hoses as well as substantial cable runs.

The yellow colour is in the halogen-free polyamide 6.6 strap. A stainless steel barb in the low-profile head grips the strap steplessly, so the tie never has to find a tooth and stays at exactly the right tension. This tie is made for indoor use, in halls and on machinery. The yellow version is not suitable outdoors because it is not UV-stabilised.

## Frequently asked questions about the TY27M-4

### Can I use the TY27M-4 for hydraulic hoses?

Yes. With 534 N of tensile strength it is suitable for bundling hoses and lines and fixing them to a frame, as long as the application is indoors. Bundles from 6 to 102 mm fit.

### How does it differ from the TY25M-4?

Both are yellow. The TY25M-4 measures 186 x 4.8 mm with 222 N, while the TY27M-4 measures 340 x 6.9 mm with 534 N and closes around much thicker bundles.

### Why a steel barb instead of a plastic pawl?

The stainless steel barb grips the smooth strap at any point, so you are not tied to fixed teeth. That gives a precise, reliable lock that does not slip back under load.
